And while you cant see the fish in the picture, I can attest to the fact that it was huge (at least 30-35lbs.) When I get it scand in, I can send you a copy, let me know.

I've been talking with Larry about when the best time to come give the Miramichi a chance with my fly. He says there is water and the middle of this month should be super for wetting a fly. I haven't worked out all the details yet, but will keep you posted. I'm already booked to stay with Danny for the last week in October at Cranton's. Hope to see you there! This is the first time I've seen the all the pictures you took from the trip and they bring back the feelings of anticipation for fish on! I'll stay in touch and will likely see you on the Miramichi. How come theres no picture of the Akoroyd in your flies?

Fantastic site! Great workmanship! Incredible how you can keep those heads so small on your Classic fully dressed patterns. I met you at Bryant's shop back in 92 after you won the Atlantic Fly Tying Championship. I also entered the contest but I was a little inexperienced. You gave me a few suggestions to better my tying ability. Thanks for the advice. I just found out that I won First Place for the Working Flies division at the 2001 Atlantic Fly Tying Championship and will receive a Sage Rod for my enjoyment on our local salmon rivers. I guess they reduced the prize awarded since your trip to Newfoundland.

Can you E-mail me a list of the fly tying competitions? Unfortunately, there is not alot of information circulated for these tying events.
